"Damn right I like the life I live, because I went from negative to positive."

- The Notorious B.I.G.

Just like her biggest influence, Biggie Smalls, Alanna went from humble beginnings to manifesting her dreams into a reality.

Born to a young mother in Philly, the 90s era of Hip-Hop was a large part of her childhood. Now at 23 years old, Alanna is a Hip-Hop blogger, content curator, personality and media consultant.

I met Alanna somewhere throughout Black Penn State and discovered she was also in the College of Communications, like myself. Along with connecting via classes, the H.U.B., the Den, etc. I saw Alanna assert herself as a media contributor.

She started her own hip-hop blog called Talk Heavy and she had her own show on Penn State's radio station, The Lion 90.7 FM. Post graduation she went on to work abroad in L.A. and now she writes and conducts interviews for Hip Hop Since 1987, she's a content curator and blogger for Hip-Hop Basement, and she has her own creative agency.

Back in February, Alanna started her creative agency MilanMediaCircle, which specializes in "branding, music PR, social networking and fan outreach." Unlike any normal PR agency, she dedicates herself to bringing her clients' visions to life.

After only a few months of having her own business she already has three clients that she represents. Her goal is to expand her agency by helping artists and athletes to gain boundless exposure through branding, networking, public relations and more!

Know an up and coming rapper who wants to grow their brand? Tell them to hit her line, @milanmediacircle.
